Relocation is a fitting move for kitchen specialists

ONE of Exeter’s established independent businesses is marking the start of a new era after relocating to new premises.

Independent kitchen door specialist Gourmet Kitchens is moving from the Guildhall Shopping Centre to larger premises and manufacturing base in Oaktree Place, Matford Business Park in at Marsh Barton.

Originally specialising in aluminium windows, the firm has successfully adapted to market trends also selling and finally creating bespoke kitchens for its customers in the South West.

Paul Walters, of Gourmet Kitchens said “Although it is sad to be leaving the city centre which has been our home for over 40 years, I am very excited about the move to our new premises in Marsh Barton. It gives us an amazing opportunity to offer our customers more

He added: “The centre management team at Guildhall Shopping Centre, feel like part of our extended family and have been very supportive over the years, in this latest move, and we are very grateful to them and Owners Aviva for their assistance and support.”

Mark Walters of Gourmet Kitchens said “I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has made our time at the guildhall such a success.

Our new project will see Gourmet Kitchens based out of our Marsh Barton Head office and will allow us to focus even more on the great customer experience everyone knows us for.

Andrew McNeilly, centre manager at the Guildhall, said: “Although Aviva is a global company, they are very mindful that business is about people. With this in mind, it is very important for us to support Paul as Gourmet Kitchens has supported the Guildhall Shopping Centre since the very beginning.

The new premises mean Gourmet Kitchens is less constricted in size and he has a huge amount of scope to develop his business for the next generation as his son Mark takes a greater role in the company. The Guildhall will continue to promote his business over the next 12 months via social media and our website to ensure that loyal customers are fully aware of the move.”
